Winchester Model 70 Ultra Grade Featherweight 1 of xxxx, .270 WCF., beautifully figured American Black Walnut pistol grip stock, thin Winchester pad, fully engraved metal butt plate, fancy checkering pattern, pre-64 type claw extractor, engine turned bolt, and feed plate, full coverage scroll engraved receiver with gold line work, engraved bolt handle, gold muzzle bands, fully engraved magazine plate featuring sheep bust with scroll engraving and additional gold line work, barrel marked in gold 1 of xxxx, 100% new and unfired gun, fitted mahogany presentation case, factory box and cardboard shipping box, an incredible discovery. This gun was won in a Raffle from the Winchester Museum. It was on presentation at the museum.
Don't call me to tell me you can buy this gun on gunbroker for $xxxx. First off this one has nicer walnut than any I have seen (or for the same part a collector who had 10 of them). Secondly, the one on there for $xxxx doesn't have a mahogany presentation case. Thirdly, of a gun has been shot or doesn't have the case or box it isn't worth this amount.
