Description
Purpose of the Job:
Safely operate and maintain the Automated People Mover (APM) system and related subsystems at the Phoenix Skyharbor Airport.
Key responsibilities and challenges:
: Operate and troubleshoot Central Control computer console during revenue service.
: Recover malfunctioning vehicles from system as needed.
: Maintenance and repair of electrical systems and subsystems including vehicles, vehicle HVAC units, station doors, power distribution system, and control panels
: Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including vehicles, track, and related systems.
: Continuous learning and progression through training.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
: Must have formal training or education in electromechanical field. Engineering, technical school, or similar training/education required.
: Experience in railroad, APM, or transportation industry a plus.
: Specific examples of demonstrated leadership in past assignments are required.
: Applicant must provide examples of complex problem solving from past experience.
Additional Requirements:
: Must be able to work a 24/7/365 schedule, including weekends and holidays.
: Must be able to pass airport security background check.
: Must be able to work from elevated guideway, This position requires regular exposure to outside weather in challenging conditions.
: For reasons of safety and efficiency, communication skills, both spoken and written are critical.
