Role Summary/Purpose: This is a dual site role and will implement/maintain the plant strategy on Environmental issues (air, climate change, waste, water) for GE Healthcare. This individual will also function in a team environment with other members of the business level EHS staff to ensure EHS compliance, to identify, prevent and resolve potential environmental issues and to mitigate environmental liabilities associated with current and former operations and facilities for Phoenix and Sunnyvale locations.
Essential Responsibilities: Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
:Lead certain assigned aspects (technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, financial, administrative, etc.) of GE Healthcare projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and GE corporate policies. Ensure appropriate management of consultants and legal counsel on all projects and coordinate efforts of other EHS staff members and site EHS professionals on various projects as required.
:Contribute and engage in establishing and tracking remedial project budgets, if applicable at site. Provide and update estimates of future remedial costs on projects for environmental reserve purposes.
:Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective:action plans and budgets to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy/protocol.
:Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site EHS managers to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements. Participate in EHS compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and service operations.
:Keep management apprised of progress and significant developments on key projects.
