I play all styles -- most of my career has been in alternative -- Extensive experience in live performance, domestic and some international touring, and recording -- Excellent groove, attitude, and stage appearance. Quick study -- I learn songs fast and always play correct parts.
Available for shows, concerts, special event gigs, tour, etc. I'm focused, but fun!
I am an experienced percussionist. I started playing drums the right way -- not just from ear! At a young age I learned theory (reading & writing). I worked to develop great habits that eventually made a tangible and valued band/team member for many well known talents. I studied percussion/studio drummer at Music Institute (MIT) as well as Moorhead State University. I have high level experience with some well-known performers.
Early, I worked with simple core rudimentary skills and learned basic knowledge of what to play properly before I started to become an accomplished drummer/musician. There is a big difference between a properly trained drummer and a self taught drummer. A properly trained percussionist always has a good sense of timing to allow solid team member chemistry to include bass members, and overall project members. In the early days, I started with core 3/4, 4/4, 6/8th timings. Then off-beats, dynamics, and flow -- developed higher skills all around based on having a much deeper understanding of the instrument.
