Bio:
Hi, my name is Heather. Born in Ottawa, Canada, I started taking piano lessons at the age of 8, and singing in choirs at the age of 14. I was also a member of various ensembles for 9 years as a trumpet player. I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Music where I studied voice as my principal instrument, performing frequent recitals and concerts as a soloist. In college I studied Opera, Art Songs and Musical Theatre. I was also an active member of the TWU Woman's Chorus, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Brass Quintet, and continued my study of piano and music theory. A classically-trained lyric soprano, I continued to study voice in Paris, France, and Washington D.C. before arriving to Phoenix. I continue to follow my life-long passion for music by educating others. I believe that music lessons should be fun and rewarding and I place a high value on learning how to use music in our everyday lives.
