Custom Guitar Building Class Fall xxxx (MCC)
Here is your chance to build your own custom guitar or bass at an affordable price. Each student receives a guitar kit with woods and parts to start the class. finish your class and graduate with a GSO (guitar shaped object) that actually plays. No experience needed, no prerequisites. No music playing ability needed but it does help during setup.

Skills learned?
Learn about guitar volume controls, tone control
Learn about capacitors and coils (pickups)
Learn to solder your guitars control electronics
Learn to tune your guitar, setup your action and to into intonate your custom guitar with a computer
Oscilloscope or strobe scope.
Learn to finish your guitar with stain and or swirl painting!
You will sand and stain and finish your guitar
You will add embellishments and logos to make your guitar your own
Learn to file your nut and set your bridge
Learn about the basics of electronics in this class.
What will you do?
You will be the first students admitted to Mesa Community Colleges new class learn electronics by building a custom guitar.
Along the way you will learn about the electronics inside a guitar.
