Pairpoint Manufacturing Co. - New Bedford, MA - c. xxxx - Present The Pairpoint Manufacturing Company was established in xxxx in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The factory began as a metalwork's. Near the Pairpoint factory was the Mt. Washington Glassworks which made fine glassware, the two companies merged in xxxx and became known as the Pairpoint Corporation. From the late xxxxs until the xxxxs, lamps and lamp accessories were an important part of Pairpoint's production.

EXQUISITE IN DETAIL You can see From & To The names are hard to read You can see in the photos the engraving on the mug This is a Mustache Mug Quadruple Plated silver Mug The Engraving is faint over the years you can see To & From (I can not make out either name) I can make out XMAS xxxx in the corner if you look in the one picture below you can barely see it. Merry Christmas if you purchase this because once it is over this will not be for sale again I will keep it.
It was named after its first superintendent, Thomas J. Pairpoint. He was considered one of the greatest silver designers in England and America.

The Pairpoint mark is a diamond with a "P" in the center and two lines above and below the "P".
This Mug was found up in Hills around Prescott, AZ wanted to keep it so I could pass it down, it is History not my families but another will not be made like it again.

This General Alarm conflagration required mutual aid from surrounding towns. It started on October 1st, xxxx. The flames where so intense that it blew horizontally out the brick factory windows like a blow torch. The Pairpoint Manufacturing Company was established in xxxx in New Bedford, MA, on the property adjoining on one of the earliest New England glass-works, The Mount Washington Glass Company. Pairpoint was originally formed to make plated Britannia metal products to complement the glasswares of the Mt.Washington Company. Thomas J. Pairpoint, a London-born businessman was named superintendent of the new company. In xxxx Pairpoint Manufacturing Company purchased Mt. Washington and the two companies merged under the name Pairpoint Corporation This merger set the scene for the manufacture of lamps and other goods comprised of metal and glass under the name of Pairpoint. The Pairpoint Corporation employed more than 300 persons in xxxx making a variety of blown and molded glasswares and silver plated Britannia metal wares from pragmatic to ornamental presentation pieces including tea sets, prize cups, flatware and other cut glass articles.
